The idea
A tour of one business is a brochure. A tour of the city is infrastructure.
Every business we shoot makes the next one worth more, because they connect.
What connected actually means
A visitor scans a QR code at the counter of a coffee shop. It opens that shop's tour — and the drone view above it, showing the whole block. The businesses either side have cards on that view. Some of them have tours of their own. Some do not yet, and their card is an invitation.
Now the same thing from the other end. Someone planning a trip opens the city's tourism page and finds a tour of the downtown. They move through it the way they would walk it. Every business they pass is a place they can step inside.
Why a city says yes
A city cannot share thirty separate business tours. It can share one tour of itself. That is the thing we are actually building, and it is why the order matters: businesses first, then the network they add up to, then the city that wants to put it on their own site.
How it grows
A hotel puts the code in its rooms
Every guest who wonders "what's around here?" scans it instead of asking. They see the hotel's tour, then the block, then the neighbourhood. Airbnb hosts do the same — it is the guidebook guests actually open.
Every scan walks past the neighbours
The restaurants, shops and venues nearby are on the view guests are already exploring. The ones with tours can be stepped into. The ones without have a card — and the card is an invitation.
The neighbours join
Each new business makes the tour more worth scanning, which makes the next business say yes faster. A venue joins for the couples shortlisting online; a shop joins for the hotel two streets over.
The city shares it, free
A city cannot share thirty business brochures, but it can embed one tour of itself on its tourism site — at no cost, forever. Every visitor it sends makes the network worth more to everyone on it.
Why a business says yes before the network exists
Because the first business in a city gets the city page built around it, and because their own tour works on day one whether or not anybody else has joined. The network is upside, not a precondition.
This page describes how the product is designed to work. Where a specific city or business is named anywhere on this site, it is because we have actually shot it.
